Sunskara the impressions

What is Sunskara?

  • Sunskara are the impressions made on the Sukshma/Subtle body due to karmic effects of past one or multiple life’s. These impressions are made in the form of three gunas (Satvik, Rajasik, Tamasik). These impressions could be pleasurable or non-pleasurable effects once invoked and can be experienced with physical body or without physical body.

    What are Guna/Properties?

  • Satvik Guna – Are the Yogi (Tatva principle). The one who understand true purpose of life, to attain Self-liberation (Moksha) by resolving karmic dues of past and present life.

  • Rajasik Guna – Are the Tyagi (Self-Sacrifice, Selfless) Tatva (principle). The one who dedicate himself/herself for the cause of betterment of the human society and Prakruti.

  • Tamasik Guna – Are the Bhogi (Selfish) Tatva (principle). The one who only live to fulfill his/her own selfish desires. Like most of the animals.

    There are two ways human brings Sunskara in the society

  • By Birth human brings Sunskara of past life, that are unknown till those gets expressed. When he/she bring surprises in the behavior or through karmic effects, we say it not her/his true nature.

  • The Sunskaras made of present life.

  • Impression of the past life

  • Human can wipe impressions of past life made on subtle body to rewrite the new impression/Sunskaras.

  • Through Selfless and without expectation service (Niswartha and nirapeksha) in the own house , towards Guru in the gurukul, Towards teachers in the school., towards Prakruti.

  • The early one start the selfless service, there are better chances to mold the path of divine soul to have better journey of this life in the Sansara.

  • Garbha Sunskar is the earliest stage to make the change happen on subtle body of Atma.

  • What you bring with your karma’s of past life as prarabdha, you will have the karmic reflections of the same, may be pleasurable or non-pleasurable.

  • Human has potential to change the destiny of present life by making positive Sunskars in the early stage of life. The effect of prarabdha karmas can be changed with Sunskara of selfless and without expectation service.

Effect food consumption on subtle body?

  • The type of food human consumes, has its gunatmak effects on human subtle body in the form of Sunskara.

  • The intention of food making/processing gets impressions on food, called as quality of food in terms of gunas (properties), Satvik or Rajasik or Tamasik.

  • Food has 3 layers,

    • Physical- Layer that gets washed away in the morning.

    • Chemical – That gets absorbed in the body during digestion.

    • Subtle – That in terms of gunas (properties)- that gets absorbed through subtle nadi’s to make impressions on subtle body.

Karma Yog -

Importance of Tulsi Tatva

  • Tulasi tatva/principle helps in karmic transformation through different consciousness states. During the self-liberation process ‘Tulasi Tatva’ acts as a shock absolver/suspension in the life of disciple/follower.

  • Properties of Nirapeksha Tulasi Tatva: समजदार, समजूतदार, सहनशील, क्षमाशील, दयाळू, अहंकारमुक्त, सर्वसमावेशक/एकरूपता, समभावी, विश्वासू, सहकारी, सत्कर्मी, समर्पित, निष्ठावान, स्वाभिमानी. (tolerant Intelligent, sensible, patient, forgiving, kind, ego-free, inclusive/unified, balanced, trustworthy, cooperative, virtuous/righteous, dedicated, loyal, self-respecting)

  • These Tatva/properties helps during process of resolution of karmic dues. Being Nirapeksha, these Tatva helps to avoid wrong doings and avoids to acquire any new karmic bondages during performing Kriya Karma of present life.

  • Karma/action by intention of any type of hate/tiraskar due to ahankar(Ego) leads to remain engage in the karmic bondages. So intentions need to be pure while performing any action/karma.

  • Sunskar karma plays key role to give direction to Children, Young generation or any phase of life emphasizing them true purpose of life that builds true ‘Nation and society on the path self-enlightenment.

  • Perform Karma/actions without any expectations and surrendering and dedicating to Shri ji (Nirapeksha Bhaav) That’s when your Sanchit and Prarabdha (Karmic dues of past and present life) will get invoked and resolved

Shri Swami Ji; you are the doer and care taker of my life, I am just an instrument. I have taken refuge at your feet, may your blessings be with me. I apologize to all those who suffered because of me. I forgive everyone who caused me suffering. Every element in creation/Prakruti is important and worthy of respect. I am just a traveler in this world. May everyone be blessed with health, wealth, happiness, prosperity, satisfaction, peace, and Self-liberation.

Dnyana Yog -

Inner Ashwamedh Maha Yadnya

  • Dnyana Yog – Maha Mantra Diksha of ‘Shree Swami Samartha ji’ and igniting inner mahayadnya to elevate consciousness with awareness to know and unite with supreme consciousness (Atma with paramatma). To become that, Self illuminating.

  • Use Tulasi Mala for Mantra chanting to acquire Tulasi principles.

  • Use stable sitting mat and steady/fix posture/asana while Mantra Chanting Sadhana.

  • Turn your consciousness with awareness inward means devotion and surrendering to Swami Ji..

  • Mind is like a horse/Ashwa with outward tendency. Govern your mind with Pratyahara(Inward Journey) and ‘Shri Hari’s Maha Mantra’

  • Govern the outward desires of mind attaining self-fulfilment (trupta Atma) through Living framework of ‘Sanatan Swa Dhrma’.

  • Self-surrender to Jeevan mukta guru Shree Swami Samartha Maharaj.

  • Perform sincere ‘Sakshi Upasana of Karma Yog, Bhakti Yog, Ashtang Yog’ that’s when flames of individual consciousness with awareness rising through inner subtle & casual body to burn karmic dues & experiences of your past & present life.

  • Conquer your Matrix of Maya (Bhav Sagar) uniting self(Atma) with Supreme (Paramatma).

Ashtang Yog - Raj Yog

  • Yam – Follow Personal code of conduct. Self defined Yamas are ethical guidelines that focus on how one interact with the world and other people. They are often translated as restraints, moral vows, or abstinences and include principles like Human Oneness (non discrimination), truthfulness (Satya), non-stealing (Asteya), non-possessiveness (do not claim/hold any elements of Prakruti) (Aparigraha). Yamas guide practitioners to act with integrity and reduce harm in daily life. Objective - Karmas can be performed with positive intention and its reflections can be experienced with minimum pain and maximum pleasure.

  • Niyama – Follow Social code of conduct defined by nation and government.

  • Asana – A posture that keeps human body stable during Sadhana [Padma Asana, Siddha Asana, Sahaj Asana, Vajra Asana]. Surya Asana that keeps human body fit.

  • Pranayama – Pranayama for purification of Nadi’s. Release of Kaf, Vaat, Pitta and sweat/perspiration. [Regular Anulom Vilom] (Advance Anulom vilom - With Maha Mantra and Kumbhaka), Bhastrika, Kapal Bhati].

  • Pratyahar – Governance over your mind. Turn inward by surrendering to jeevan mukta guru ‘Shree Swami JI’ and focus on Ultimate objective of human birth.

  • Dharana – Self-commitment, dedication, surrender to Jeevan Mukta Guru, ‘Shree Swami Ji’.

  • Dhyan – One pointed focus being Sakshi, the SUN within self.

  • Samadhi – Experience of Advaita being Sakshi, Jeevan Mukta (Self-Liberation).

Ashtang Yog - Raj Yog

  • When the mind is free from distractions and mental turbulence, one can perceive life without distortion, experiencing unity with the self and the divine. This state is not about stopping thoughts forcibly but cultivating a witnessing presence, where one observes thoughts without identifying with them.

    –Chitta: the consciousness, encompassing perception, memory, and cognition. It represents the entire inner landscape through which experience flows.

    –Vritti: the fluctuations, waves, or modifications of the mind, including thoughts, emotions, memories, and mental impressions.

    –Nirodha: cessation, restraint, or coming to rest. It implies allowing the mind’s movements to settle naturally rather than forcibly suppressing them.

  • Together, chitta vritti nirodha refers to the process of calming the mind so that its constant activity does not disturb awareness, allowing one to experience reality clearly.

Practical Application: In practice, chitta vritti nirodha is achieved through meditation, mindfulness (Trupt Atma, Self-Satisfaction), and disciplined yoga technique of Sakshi Upasana. The goal is to:

  • Observe thoughts without attachment.

  • Reduce mental distractions.

  • Cultivate a state of calm awareness.

  • Experience life as it truly is, beyond the distortions of ego and desire.

  • This process allows the practitioner to reach Samadhi (Union with that supreme pure consciousness, a state of deep absorption and union with the ultimate reality, which is the ultimate aim of yog Shastra.

  • Being Sakshi-witness of self-consciousness and awareness is key to success in Karmic resolution.

  • What type of Sunskara’s I am acquiring that will impact my karma’s/actions?

  • Am I getting dragged away in worldly selfish sansara again?

  • Am I self-surrendered to Jeevan Mukta Guru ‘Shri Swami ji’ and performing my worldly duties?

Self-Analysis

Self-Purification and Self Balance

  • Self-Purification helps in sustaining during the impact of your karmic resolution.

  • Self-Impurity leads to imbalance, cause of which seeker/disciple/human wonders here and there.

  • Self-Purity helps to remain Sakshi in any situation and reflection of karmic resolution. Such person attains Tulasi Tatva.

  • There are two ways to perform self-purification

  • Self-surrender to jeevn mukta guru like ‘Shri Swami ji’ and perform your sansarik duties being nirapeksha.

  • Preform Selfless or without expectation duties towards own family, society, Nation, Prakruti.

  • Through Chinmay Sadhana.

Self-Improvement

  • Observe yourself getting selfish to Selfless state of consciousness with awareness. And from Selfless state to without expectation state. This Self evolution is self-improvement.

Self-Enlightenment

  • What happens to the person attaining Self-enlightenment?

    • It is an experience of Advait, non-duality,

    • Experience of oneness in all, that one Swami, Hari dwells as a Sakshi in all living being.

    • So with the experience one says ‘I am that’. Avinashi, Supreme pure consciousness.

    • Attainment of divine knowledge.

Self-Realization

What happens to the person attaining Self-Realization?

  • One can know his/her true self and your purpose of this life.

  • This is the reason it is better to devote yourself in early stage of life to Jeevan Mukta Swami JI, to acquire knowledge of self and to realize true purpose of present life and then take the steps of life accordingly.

  • The devotee of Swami Ji may acquire intentional knowledge of materialistic life for betterment of the society in materialistic world.

  • On the other hand some devotee of Swami Ji, may acquire spiritual knowledge or power for betterment of the society in spiritual world.

  • This is the importance of Ashram vyawastha.

  • The Institute, SIDI has been established with the same divine purpose.

Jeevan Mukti

  • Jeevan Mukta person is Self-enlightened and self-realized soul. He is the one who has travelled the path of Self-enlightenment, Self-realization, Self-liberation.

  • Such soul may be present in human body.

  • Jeevan mukta person has resolved his karmic dues of his/her past and present life performing without expectation service towards Prakruti or his/her jeevan mukta guru.

  • Such divine soul like ‘Shri Swami ji’ is called as Jeevan Mukta Guru.

  • Upon Prakruti’s wish, such jeevan mukta guru is entitled to guide human society and his followers to attain highest objective being in human life, self-liberation and resolution from karmic dues of their past and current life.

  • Jeevan Mukta Guru like ‘Shri Swami ji’ is a ‘Moksha Data’ Guru of Kaliyuga.

    One has to believe it to experience it.
